As an international student, you’ll need to apply for a national long-stay visa   (D  visa), which allows you to stay longer than 90 days in Belgium. Applicants are to provide proof of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros for their stay. A medical certificate stating you don’t carry any diseases that may endanger public health   (such  as TB, diseases that require quarantine and other infectious diseases) is also required. An enrollment certificate allowing attendance of courses in Belgium is required. Certificates and transcripts from previously attended schools should be provided. Foreign students in Belgium can work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break. This visa can be extended to cover the duration of your study in the country. If you are under 18 years, a letter of authorization signed by both parents is required. Also, the original copy of your birth certificate should be presented. Applicants of this visa are students who have the intention of studying in Cyprus. Before this visa is issued, a letter of acceptance from the school should be submitted. An enrollment certificate allowing attendance of courses in Cyprus is required. Holders of this visa should be in possession of the relevant permit issued by the Civil Archive and Migration Department. The student visa is issued for a specific educational institution. In case of Kenyans deciding to change an educational institution, one must then obtain a new residence permit. Kenyans on the students visa are not permitted to work. Exceptions are made by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus for certain courses for which working permits may be issued to enable practical training during the summer vacations. The Cyprus study visa is only issued to Kenyans who intend to study full time.  A full-time student is one who takes a minimum of 12 credits in a semester. The Kenyan student has the right to invite to Cyprus his/her friends and relatives from abroad as guests under condition he/she can secure a bank deposit of 300 Cyprus Pound for each invited person. A Poland student visa is a National visa. This visa is issued to foreigners who would like to study and stay in Poland for longer than 30 days. Poland has become a popular destination for foreign students and this is because of the low tuition and low cost of living in the country. The passport-sized photographs used in the application must have the following specifications:             - Size: 35mm x 45mm.             - Must be in color and set against a neutral backdrop.             - Must be recent (taken in the last 6 months). Before this visa is issued, a letter of acceptance from the school offering the admission should be submitted. An enrollment certificate allowing attendance of courses in Poland is also required. Certificates and transcripts of applicant's previous schools should be submitted. You must provide a cover letter, stating why you chose to study in Poland.  Healthcare in Poland is not free for foreigners. It is important for students to have health insurance that comes to at least 30,000 euros. Students are required to carry enough funds that'd ensure they can comfortably spend 20 euros per day.  When you receive your student visa you will be issued a temporary residence card. The first residence permit is issued for a period of 15 months. It can be renewed afterwards for periods of up to 3 years. If you don't have enough means to fund yourself while in Poland,  you can support yourself financially through scholarships and funding programs. Part-time jobs and, in some cases, student loans are also available to foreigners.

Kenyans who intend to study in Denmark are eligible to apply for this visa. The study visa permits its holder to remain in Denmark for a duration of 3 months. Before you apply for the student visa, you must have received an admission offer to study in Denmark from a Danish educational institution. If an applicant's study would exceed 3 months, the applicant should apply for a long-stay study visa. Applicants are to submit a valid passport with a validity of not less than 6 months from the proposed date of travel. A copy of passport's biometric data should be submitted. Applicants are to submit their previous passports if any together with the current one. You must have been accepted to study in one of the institutions in the country before this visa is issued to you. A letter of acceptance written with the official letterhead of the school you have been accepted into is required. Certificates and transcripts from previously attended schools should be provided. A copy of your stay permit in Kenya should be provided for non-citizens of Kenya. Foreign students may work in Denmark part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break. Proof of academic qualification for the intended course of study should be submitted by the applicant. Proof of financial sufficiency that covers applicants duration of stay must be provided in order to travel to Denmark to study. Proof of part or full payment of tuition fee should be submitted. This visa may be extended to cover the period of your study. Proof of accommodation in the form of dormitory contract or rental agreement should be submitted. If you are minor travelling without your parent, a letter of consent signed both your parents should be provided. Also, an unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required. If you are travelling for tourism in France, you are not allowed to seek public funds while you are in the country. Receipt of paid visa application form is required. To study in Denmark you must provide proof of some proficiency of the Danish language.

Kenyans looking to study in Switzerland are eligible for the Swiss student visa. You have to decide what you want to study before starting your student visa application process. After being accepted at a Swiss university, you’ll get an acceptance letter required for visa application. Switzerland recognizes two types of student visa: Type C visa – for short courses (summer schools, language schools) that last only for three months. Type D visa – for courses that last longer than three months. If you apply for a Type D visa and plan to stay in Switzerland longer than three months, you will have to arrange to get your residence permit from the cantonal migration offices within 14 days after your arrival. Proof of sufficient financial means for coverage of living costs in Switzerland for the duration of schooling is required. Students are required to provide evidence of having 21,000 CHF or 19,200 EUR at the beginning of each year of studies. International students can take up part-time work for up to 15 hours a week during the semester and they can work full-time during holidays. But you have to have lived in Switzerland for six months before you can take a job as a student. It is better to schedule the appointment for a visa interview as early as 6 months before your planned day of travel to Switzerland, but no later than ten weeks before. There are no specific language(including  Switzerland official languages Romansh) requirements for a study visa for Switzerland. On the other hand, universities will require proof of language proficiency when you apply. In some cases, the embassy will want to evaluate your language knowledge based on a short interview at the consulate or even an oral and written test. Unless the application form and all required documents are in French, German or English, you will need a certified translation of all documents into one of these languages. The following documents must be provided during the visa application: Passport with a validity of at least three months beyond the planned stay. Letter of acceptance issued by a Swiss university. Proof of payment of the registration and tuition fees (original and copy). Letter from the institution in case all expenses for the study will be covered by scholarship or loan. Kenyans who intend to travel to Sweden for educational purposes are eligible for the Swedish student visa. Visas and residence permits for international students in Sweden depend on the duration of their course study.  There are two types of Swedish student visa: Short-stay student visa: This visa is valid for three months. Long-stay student visa: This visa is valid for one year, and it is also extendable. If you are applying for the long-stay visa, you are required to also apply for a residence permit.  If you are the recipient of a scholarship, student aid or similar grant, you are required to provide documents supporting this, showing your name, the monthly amount you are entitled to and the period during which you will receive the fund. If you are a doctoral student, you must provide the decision on your admission as a doctoral student with information about the time of admission as well as a certificate with the details of the doctoral studies, issued by the place of study. If you are not going to study on a scholarship, you need to pay a portion of the fee before submitting your application for the permit and provide proof of payment. Students are required to show proof of financial stability. Students must have at least 90 dollars (540 SEK) for each day of their stay in Sweden. You must also provide proof that you have comprehensive health insurance in Sweden. If you have insurance through the school, you are required to send confirmation of this. An admission letter can serve as proof in this case. To be eligible for student residence permit, you must require the following: You must be admitted to a full-time accredited university for studies in Sweden. You must have paid the first installment of the tuition fees for your course of study. You must have valid supporting documentation to support your residence permit application. You must possess letter of admission from the university that has offered you admission in its course of study.

Finland's visa for students allows foreigners to study in one of the institutions in Finland. Applicants should ensure they confirm they have been admitted into the institution of their choice before applying for this visa. A letter of invitation from the institution you have been accepted to should be provided. The course you have enrolled for and the duration of the study should be stated in the letter. Applicant's international passport that has a  minimum validity of six months from the date of departure is required. The validity of the student's visa is at the discretion of the embassy but is always more than 90 days. The Passport biometric data is required. Certificates and transcripts from previously attended schools should be provided. A copy of your stay permit in Kenya should be provided for non-citizens of Kenya. Students are allowed to work for a period of time as long as it does not interfere with their studies. Proof of accommodation in for of receipt for rent or dormitory reservations should be submitted. This visa may be extended to cover the period of your study. If you are a minor traveling without your parents, a letter of consent signed by both your parents should be provided. Also, an unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required. Proof of full or part payment of tuition fees should be submitted. Applicants are to provide proof of financial sufficiency in form of bank statement that covers the applicant duration of stay. Bearers of this visa are allowed to work as long as it does not interfere with their studies. You are not allowed to seek public funds while you are in the country. Proof of payment of visa application form is required.

Students visa allows foreigners to study in one of the institutions in Latvia. Applicants should ensure they confirm they have been accepted into the institution of their choice before applying for this visa. A letter of invitation from the institution you have been accepted to should be provided. The course you have enrolled for and the duration of the study should be stated in the letter. A copy of passport's biometric data should be submitted. Certificates and transcripts from previously attended schools should be provided. A copy of your stay permit in Kenya should be provided for non-citizens of Kenya. Students are allowed to work part-time when school is on session and full-time when school is on break. This visa may be extended to cover the period of your study. Proof of financial sufficiency that covers applicants duration of stay. Proof of part or full tuition fee payment. If you are minor traveling without your parent, a letter of consent signed both your parents should be provided. Also, an unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required. You are not allowed to seek public funds while you are in the country. Proof of payment of visa application form is required.

This visa is for students who have been accepted to study in one of the institutions in the country. Applicants should ensure they have been accepted into the institution of their choice before applying for this visa. Letter of admission from the institution you have been accepted into is required. This is proof that you can attend lectures and write exams at  the school. Certificates and transcripts of the schools you previously attended is a necessary document to be provided during the visa application. If you are not a Kenyan, you are required to possess a copy of your stay permit in Kenya. Foreign students are allowed to work part-time when school is in session and full-time when school is on break. The duration of this visa can be extended to cover the duration of their study. Underage Kenyans should have the original copy of their birth certificate. If they are not traveling with their parents, a letter of consent signed by both their parents should be provided. You are not allowed to seek public funds while you are in the country. Receipt of paid visa application form is required. If you are not a citizen of Kenya, a copy of the stay permit in Kenya should be provided during the visa application process.

The Iceland student visa enables Kenyans to visit Iceland to study in one of the institutions in the country. You must ensure you have been accepted into one of the institutions of your choice in the country before applying for visa. Students will need to apply for a residence permit before arriving in Iceland which can be done by contacting the Directorate of Immigration in Iceland or by notifying the nearest Icelandic embassy. All students are required to apply for a Kennitala – an Icelandic ID/social security number - which is used for every day matters, such as opening a bank account. Letter of acceptance from the institution in Iceland is required. This is proof that you can attend lectures and write exams at school.  If you are given a scholarship, you must provide the letter of sponsorship from the body that awarded the scholarship to you. Students are required to provide medical insurance details.  Proof of financial support in the form of bank statements must be provided. Students are required to have at least ISK 180, 550/ EUR 1,434 per month. Student visas in Iceland are flexible enough to allow students to apply for a work permit while they are engaged in their studies. Students are allowed to work 20 working hours per week.

This visa is exclusive for students who have been accepted into a school in Malta. An original passport valid for at  least six months beyond your intended period of stay in Malta is required. Two recent 2 x 2' passport photographs are required. These must be in color, taken in front view and against a white background. If you initiate the visa application process without confirmation of your admission, the visa will not be issued to you. A letter of acceptance into the school you applied to study is required before you will be issued this visa. Certificates and transcripts from the previous schools you have attended should be provided. You are required to provide a student status letter from the faculty of your university. Two copies of flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency showing round travel trip to Malta must be generated. An original copy of a proof of medical insurance to cover the duration of your visit must be provided. You are required to provide an evidence of sufficient funds to support stay and studies in Malta; such as your most recent bank statement or an international credit card statement. Students can take up paid employment during their time in the country as long as it does not interfere with their study. This visa can be extended to cover the duration of the study. If you are under the age of 18, you are required to have the original copy of your birth certificate. If you are not traveling with your parents, a letter of consent signed by both parents should be provided. You are not allowed to seek public funds while you are in the country. Receipt of paid visa application fee is required. Applicants who do not have a clean medical record may not be issued this visa.
