The Tourist Visa is issued to Kenyans with the intention of visiting Angola for sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation. Kenyans visiting friends or relatives based on invitation can also do so on this visa. Applicants meeting up with a friend or relative in Angola are required to present a letter of invitation from the friend or relative and a  valid means of identification of your host is to be included in the letter. Angolan events and festivals can be attended by those visiting the country on this visa. A letter from the applicant’s employer in Kenya is required. This letter should introduce the applicant, confirming the allowance of leave, and should also state the duration of the trip. Applicants should provide proof of financial sufficiency either through a bank statement or any other means that is recognized by the embassy. Applicants of this visa who are under the age of 18 years must provide the original copy of their birth certificate. If the minor will be traveling without supervision, a notarized consent signed by both parents is required. Applicants should provide proof of an accommodation or hotel reservation for the duration of their stay. Applicants are also required to submit a copy of the flight itinerary and their return ticket. A document which shows that the applicant has the incentive of returning to Kenya should be presented along with the visa application. Receipt which shows that the visa application fee has been fully paid is to be submitted by the applicant. Kenyans cannot receive payments for the services they render while they are in the country.  Applicants are expected to abide by the rules of this visa. Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is required. Holders of this visa can apply for an extension on the duration of this visa.

This visa is issued to travelers who have the intention of engaging in business activities in the country. Business travelers are allowed to negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners during business meetings in Angola. With this visa, Kenyans are allowed to attend conferences, trade fairs, and business summits in the country. A letter from the applicant’s employer confirming the awareness and allowance of business leave is required. The letter should state the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit. An invitation letter fr om the host company in Angola is required. The letter is to be written on the company’s letterhead and addressed to the Embassy of Angola stating the duration and purpose of the applicant's visit. The business letter must state whether the applicant’s employer or the host company in Angola will take up the responsibility of the applicant’s financial expenses. If there have been previous business dealings between the host and sponsoring company, proof of this should be submitted to the embassy. Applicants are to submit proof of payment of visa application fee. Applicants of this visa are expected to return to their home country at the expiry of this visa. Minors are expected to be in possession of the unabridged original copy of their birth certificate, as well as a letter of consent signed by both parents. Kenyans should be vaccinated against yellow fever before traveling to Angola and a proof of this is required. A 60-day extension can be granted on this visa if an application is made for it. The Work Visa is issued to Kenyans who have been offered employment by an employer in Angola. Applicants of this visa should confirm that they have been employed by the employer before initiating the visa application. A copy of the contract letter signed by both the employer and the employee is required from the applicant. This letter should be written on the company’s letterhead and should also state the terms of employment.   Applicants should make 3 copies of passport pages that contain any migration information or stamps. The employer should provide proof that there was no Angolan willing and available to take up the job before the applicant was offered this job. A proof that the applicant will not be paid below the minimum wage during the period of employment is also required. Kenyans who do not have the right qualification that matches the job they have been offered will not be issued this visa.  Applicants should undergo a medical at an accredited institution and submit a certificate that proves your good health. Applicants have to declare their commitment to obey local laws (in Portuguese). Applicant should provide resume and necessary qualification to the Angolan Embassy in Portuguese. Applicants should provide a criminal record. Kenyans should ensure that they are vaccinated against yellow fever before traveling to Angola.
