Slovenia is a Balkan country with mostly mountainous terrain and mainly continental climate. It is a member of the European Union and NATO. The Slovenian tourist visa is for Kenyans visiting Slovenia for the purpose of recreation, relaxation, and sightseeing. Slovakia is part of the Schengen agreement, so a Schengen visa is needed to travel to the country. Researchers travelling for the purpose of carrying out scientific research are also eligible to the Slovenian tourist visa. It is required for applicants to submit their original passport, which is valid for a minimum of 3 months after your return from the trip. Two recent 35 mm x 45 mm passport-sized photographs are required, they must be taken in a gray background.  You need to submit a Travel medical insurance with at least 30,000EUR coverage. This is one of the important Slovenia visa requirements and an assurance to the embassy that you have enough coverage to afford any medical emergencies that may arise during your stay in Slovenia. A personal cover letter is required, in the letter you must state the following: Dates of the journey. Places you intend to visit. Arrangements made for the accommodation and transportation. The Slovenian business visa allows business-oriented travelers to visit Slovenia to engage in business activities in the country. The following documents are required for the Slovenian business visa: An original passport with at least three months validity beyond intended stay. A signed letter of invitation from the company in Slovenia which contains the applicant’s data, the purpose of the visit, the period of intended stay and contact details of the company. A signed letter of invitation from your current employer with your personal data, the term of employment, and purpose of visit. Kenyans who apply for the medical visa do so with the intention of seeking medical treatment for a medical situation they have. There are approximately 36 medical centers across the country, which provide a range of services, including outpatient care, GP services and a range of specialists. A signed letter by the applicant’s local doctor within the last three months providing information about the medical treatment and confirming the need for the medical treatment to be done in Slovenia is required. A letter from the doctor in Slovenia indicating the nature of the treatment, estimated recovery time, the need for return visits, the cost of treatment, and confirmation of acceptance from the doctor. Ambulance transportation is free in the event of a medical emergency or if a doctor has confirmed that it is needed.   Applicants without insurance cannot access non-emergency free state healthcare. The Slovenia student visa is also known as the type D visa.  The student visa is for Kenyans looking to study in Slovenia. There are two types of Slovenia student visa: Short-stay visa- this visa lasts for just 90 days. Long-stay visa- this visa lasts for 12 months, and it is also extendable. If you are studying in Slovenia for more than three months, you are required to purchase a residence permit. If you have a  valid residence permit  issued by  another state that is party to the Schengen Agreement , you may enter the Republic of Slovenia on the basis of this permit Proof of medical insurance which covers the entire duration of your stay with a minimum of 30,000 EUR coverage. But, you should first confirm that your school does not have arrangement for your insurance. If your institution does not have any arrangement for your accommodation, you should reserve a hotel accommodation. Students should have at least €300 monthly in order to maintain financial sustenance.  You might be able to work with the Slovenia student visa but you should verify from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This visa is for government officials who are visiting Slovenia to improve the relationship between the government of Slovenia and Kenya. A diplomatic note from the Kenyan government is required.
