The tourist visa allows foreigners to visit Nicaragua for the purpose of leisure and tourism. Applicants are required to provide passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival. Two recent 2 x 2'' photographs with white backgrounds must be provided. Kenyans who have been invited by their friends and relatives to Nicaragua can visit the country using this visa. A copy of the passport data sheet is required. If you have been invited by a friend or relative living in the country, a letter of invitation from your host is required. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host. Contact details of the host should be indicated in the letter. If you are not visiting friends or relatives, you must provide proof of hotel reservations(s) for the duration of the intended stay. Foreigners are not prohibited from attending events and festivals that are taking place in the country. A letter from the applicant’s employer stating the applicant’s job status, contract of employment, and the duration and purpose of the applicant’s trip.
