This visa allows Kenyans to visit Austria for sightseeing, recreation and relaxation purposes. Kenyans can also visit friends and/or relatives in the country with the tourist visa. The Austrian tourist visa can either be single,double or multiple entry. If you have a host in Austria, an official letter of invitation containing the person's home address and telephone number is required. The tourist visa is non-refundable and  are usually a Type C or D  visa. Application of tourist visa should be done at least 15 days before the applicant's planned date of departure. You are to provide evidence that you have purchased health insurance that covers medical emergencies with a minimum of €30,000, for the whole period of stay. A cover letter mentioning your details, travel plans, and details of the other members traveling with you should also be submitted. While you are in the country with this visa, you cannot take up a course to study in any of the institutions of learning in Austria. Kenyans are not allowed to carry more than 10  euros during travel. Holders of this visa can attend festivals and events in the country. For Kenyans who are employed, a letter written by your employer stating their awareness of your leave and duration granted should be submitted. The letter should be written on the company's letter head. Applicants under the age of 18 are required to provide the unabridged original copy of their birth certificate. A letter of consent signed by both your parents should also be submitted for minors travelling with non or one of their parents. Applicants are expected to have proof of the incentive of returning to their country. Proof of paid visa application fee is to be submitted by applicant. During your stay in the country, you are not allowed to be paid for the services you render. Applicants are to provide a proof of medical fitness which shows that the applicant is free from any communicable disease. A proof of medical insurance that covers the duration of stay should also be included. Proof of accommodation or hotel reservation for the applicants duration of stay should also be submitted. You are not allowed to seek public funds while you are in the country.

The business visa allows its holder to meet up with partners in order to negotiate and sign contracts in Austria. Holders of this visa can also attend trade fairs, conferences, and business summits. Austrian business visa can either be single entry, double or multiple entry. Applicant on the business will need an entry permit. Application of this visa cannot be done more than 3 months prior to departure. A letter of invitation from the company you are meeting up with should be provided.
