Indecent dressing and behavior are not tolerated, prison sentences or fines will be issued to anyone caught in the act. Anyone who is caught driving under the influence of alcohol will be fined or imprisoned. Always make sure you request a receipt whenever you buy anything in the country.
It is illegal to smoke in all indoor public places. Hefty fines will be handed out to those caught violating this law. Pepper-spray canisters are illegal in Greece and will be confiscated by the authorities.
Basic Travel Requirements for Kenyans visiting Greece
- Kenyan passport which will be valid 6 months after exiting from the country. The passport must contain two blank pages.
- Duly completed visa application form. The form should carry the necessary signatures and stamps.
- Two passport-sized photographs taken with a white background which follows the visa application specification.
- The photograph must be at least 3 months old from the time of application.
- Original bank statement for the last three months prior to the date of application for the visa. Salary payslips may be used in place of the bank statement.
- A copy of the applicants travel itinerary should be submitted.
- Valid travel insurance which has a coverage of €30,000 for medical insurance.
- Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay in the country.
- Return flight ticket.
