The Slovakia student visa allows students from Kenya to study in one of the recognized educational institutions in Slovakia. After securing a student visa, the student can then proceed to apply for a residence permit. The Slovakian  residence permit for students is usually granted for one year at a time after which it can be renewed. Acceptance into the institution you have applied for should be confirmed before initiating the visa application process. To be eligible for a Slovakian student visa or residence permit, you must provide the official letter of acceptance issued by the Slovakian university/educational institute offering the admission. This letter should indicate the course the applicant has been admitted to study, the course duration, and how the student hopes to finance the study. Foreign students in Slovakia may be allowed to work for a limited period of time as long as it does not interfere with their studies. Students must have at least EUR 400 per month for staying in Slovakia. This means the student must have a minimum of EUR 4,800 per year for their expenses in Slovakia. You must provide proof of your financial ability to support yourself financially during your entire period of study in Slovakia and also for your return transportation. Children under the age of 18 years are required to have the original copy of their birth certificate.
