Kenyans intending to travel to Chad for sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation purposes are eligible for this visa. Foreigners who have been invited to the country by their friends and relatives are also eligible to this visa. The processing time for the Chadian tourist visa is 7 days. The Chadian tourist visa has a validity period of 90 days. Chad does not have an embassy in Kenya so Kenyan Applicants are advised to make their application through the closest Chadian embassy to them (Ethiopia). Applicants should submit a computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency. A letter of invitation from your host in the country explaining the applicant’s relationship with the host is required. The letter should indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and the host’s name and contact information. Proof of travel insurance that covers duration of stay should be provided. An applicant should provide a bank statement which clearly shows his full name as appeared on his passport and which must not be more than 90 days as a proof of sufficient funds. Hotel and/or cruise reservations should be submitted by applicant and If he is staying in various hotels, applicant is required to provide copies of each reservation.  This visa allows foreigners to attend festivals and events in the country. An original letter of employment, certifying that the applicant is an employee of the company and in good standing is required. The letter must indicate the dates for which leave was approved and the intended date of return to the company. A copy of the Kenyan stay permit is required. If you are under the age of 18, the original copy of your birth certificate is required. A notarized consent signed by both the minor’s parent is also required. Applicants of this visa may intend to board a connecting flight from an airport in Chad to their destination country. The visa and other entry permits of the destination country are required.
