Basic Travel Requirements for Kenyans visiting Colombia

  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.

  • Three passports taken on a white background (1.5 x2.5).

This visa is granted to Kenyans intending to study in any recognized private or public school in Colombia.  The M-visa is a visa for students intending to study a degree program such as bachelor program..  The V-visa is a visa for students who study a non-degree program like studying.   Both visas can be longer than one year depending on the length of study.  A valid passport or travel document is required with a minimum of two blank pages.  Two recent passports taken in a whit background is to be presented at the entry of the Colombia port. A photocopy of the admission or registration certificate issued by the educational establishment  is also part of the necessary documents needed.  If a sponsor bears the financial responsibility of the student, documents of economic solvency will be provided to serve as evidence.  In cases of minor, letter of authorization duly signed  by the parents of the student who has admission with a Colombian school is to be provided.  It has to be notarized by a Colombia consul.  If you are a holder of an M-student visa for five years, you become eligible  to receive a Resident visa If you are not present physically in Colombia for over for overv 2 years this visa becomes invalid You can work with this visa

This Business Visa is granted to high ranking executives of multi-national and foreign companies who have an aim of formulating business ties with Colombia.  The business visa allows a  short period of visit to Colombia. Kenyans can only apply online for a Colombia business visa.  The application process is done online.  The visa allows for multiple entries for up to six months at each visa.  Holders of the business visa are not allowed to reside in Colombia.  This visa is also for you if you are going to visit business partners The Colombia business visa is sub-divided into four types:       The NE1: is meant for foreigners who wish to gain entry for the sole purpose of conducting business, foster economic exchanges, invest and create business.        The NE2:  allows foreigners to gain entry temporarily as business persons for infrastructure within Colombia which includes free trade agreements, promote businesses, develop investment, and established a commercial presence.         The NE3: enables foreigners who are government officials to gain entry to promote commercial and economic exchanges in or with Colombia        The NE4 is for foreigners who are senior executives or presidents of a multinational company in order to invest or generate business.  The business visa is granted for a maximum of three years.  The visa can be renewed for a period of two years, which only depends on the job contract. A letter from a company within Colombia showing it has invited the foreigner for a visit, stating the company as the sponsor and would be responsible for the expenses of the applicants while in Colombia.  A certificate of existence of the company inviting the applicant for a visit to Colombia is to be provided.
