The tourist visa is for those traveling to the Czech Republic to relax, sightseeing, and recreational purposes. This visa can also serve as a visitor visa. If you have friends and relatives in the country, you can visit them with this visa. Original passport of  the applicant which has a validity of 3 months after the intended date of exit from the country should be submitted. The passport should have two blank pages for necessary stamps and must have been issued within the last 10 years. Application for this visa can be done 3 months but not later than 15 days before the intended date of travel. A letter of invitation from your host in the country should be provided if you are visiting a relative. The home address, telephone number and a valid means of identification of your host should be provided. The letter  of invitation must be verified by the Czech Alien Police Inspectorate. If you are visiting a relative in the country, you are required to show proof of family ties. Kenyans who are employed should have a letter from their employer stating approval of their leave and how long the leave is for. For applicants who are self employed a copy of their Kenyan pin certificate and most recent tax payment certificate should be submitted. In cases of organised tourism, proof of booking of organized trip from host company (i.e. voucher) should be submitted.If the confirmation of booking does not include proof of prepayment; proof of pre-/down-payment is required. A copy of air tickets reservations including return tickets is to be submitted to the embassy. sometimes the original copy might be requested. proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be provided. proof of financial sufficiency in for of bank statement or travellers cheque that covers the duration of stay  should be submitted. Applicants of this visa should be able to provide proof of being able to afford a minimum of 1100 CZK every day of their stay in the country if the total duration of their visit is not more than 30 days. If their stay in the Czech Republic is going to be for more than 30 days, they should be able to afford 33000 CZK.  Applicants travelling with minors are to submit a copy of the original birth certificate of the minor along side a written consent letter from either one or both parents of the minor. In all such cases the parent/legal guardian's passport copy should be provided. With this visa, foreigners are not allowed to study or be employed during their time in the country. Receipt of paid visa application fees should be provided. Overstaying your visa is prohibited. You should leave the country as soon as your visa expires. The visa costs €60.

Business visa is meant for foreigners who are visiting the Czech Republic with the aim of meeting up with business partners in the country. Business-oriented travelers can meet up with their associates for business meetings and to sign and negotiate contracts. Holders of this visa can attend conferences, business summits, and trade fairs while they are in the country. A detailed letter of invitation from the company you will be visiting in the Czech Republic should be provided. The company address and the duration of your visit should be stated in details in the letter. Letter from your employer in Kenya stating allowing your business travel is required. The purpose and duration of the visit should be clearly stated. For private business owners , a copy of their Kenyan pin certificate should be submitted along with their recent tax statement. Proof of previous trade relations between the companies should be provided if any. The certificate of business registration of the company you are meeting with in the country should be provided. Whether it is the employer or the partner company in the Czech Republic that is covering the applicant’s expenses, it should be stated in the letter of invitation. Holders of this visa are neither allowed to study nor be paid for the services they render while they are in the country. Minor’s should ensure they have the original copy of their birth certificate. If the applicant is not a Kenyan, then a copy of his/her Kenyan stay permit should be provided. Proof that you have the incentive of returning to your country is required. Proof of visa application fee payment should be submitted. Proof of medical insurance acceptable in Czech republic or its equivalent of 30,000 euros

This visa is for foreigners who are not in the best health condition and require medical treatment in the country. A medical report from your doctor in Kenya stating the type of illness and the reason the treatment should be gotten from the Czech Republic. Also, the doctor in the Czech Republic should provide a letter stating that the patient is accepted and the treatment can be performed. The nature of the treatment and the intended time of recovery should be stated. A document that shows estimated time of recovery should be sent to the embassy by your physician. Your employer in Kenya should provide a letter stating allowance of leave. The term of employment and the purpose of the trip should be provided. Information stating who will be financially responsible for the applicant during his stay in the country should be provided. Persons accompanying the applicant will apply for a Schengen visa under the modality Private visit Proof of full or part payment of medical fee should be provided. Proof of paid visa application fee is required. If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided. Applicants of this visa cannot enroll to study in one of the institutions of learning in the country. You are expected to leave the country at the end of your treatment. Holders are not allowed to take up permanent residence in the country.

The student visa is for foreigners who have applied and have been accepted to study in one of the schools in the country. Admission letter from the school you have been enrolled in should be provided. Certificates and transcripts of the schools you previously attended is a necessary document to be provided during the visa application process. Certificate of enrollment which allows attendance of courses is required. Proof of full or part payment of the applicants tuition fee should be submitted. Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicants duration of stay. If you are not a citizen of Kenya, a copy of your stay permit in Kenya is required. Holders of this visa are allowed to work part-time when school is in session and full-time when they are on break. The Consular Department has full authority to evaluate and request more documents than those submitted by the applicant,   therefore, always include your mobile or home or office telephone   number with your application. You can request an extension to this visa to cover the duration of your study in the country. If you are a minor traveling without your parent, a letter of consent signed both your parents should be provided. The visa costs 81400 CZK. Applicants are to submit their applications forms physically at the consulate.

This visa allows a Kenyans to take up paid employment temporarily in the Czech Republic. Before initiating the visa application process, you must have gotten in a job in the country. A letter from your employer in the country confirming that you have been offered a job is required. The address of the company as well, as your job description, should be clearly stated in the letter. Your employer should provide proof that there was no citizen of the Czech Republic available to take a job before you were offered this job. Proof that you will not be paid below the country's minimum wage should be submitted. Applicants are to submit relevant documents that proves they are qualified for the job they have being offered. If the applicants that not posses the required document that matches the job description, the visa application maybe turned down. Applicants are advised not to non refundable payment before the result of their visa application. proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be submitted. If the applicant of this visa is not a Kenyan citizen, a copy of his/her Kenyan stay permit is required. Receipt of paid visa application fee should be provided. Proof that you have the incentive of returning to Kenya. You are expected to abide by all the rules guiding your visa application.

This visa allows foreigners to make short stays in the country. Applicants of this visa intend transiting through the Czech Republic to their destination country. Visa and flight ticket of your destination country should be presented during the visa application process. If you are under the age of 18 years, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate should be provided. You must have a clean criminal record. Receipt of paid visa application fee is required. You are not allowed to study or work during your time in the country. The visa is valid for 5 days. You are required to exit the country before the expiry of your visa. There is no extension to the transit visa.
