This visa is issued to Kenyans with the intention of visiting Armenia for the purpose of tourism and leisure. Kenyans who are issued this visa may also visit friends and relatives in Armenia. Kenyans who intend to travel to Armenia through invitation by friends or relatives cannot get a tourist visa at the border entry point. Kenyans are eligible for the Armenian E-visa. The Armenian tourist visa can either be single, double or multiple entry and has a year validity. Kenyans traveling to the Republic of Armenia for business, personal interests, medical treatment, and other short-term stays are also eligible for this visa. Applicants of this visa who have been invited by a friend or relative living in the country are required to present a letter of invitation from their host during the visa application process. Kenyans visiting the Republic of Armenia are free to attend festivals and events of their choice. Applicants are expected to present a letter from their employer stating their job status, contract of employment, and the duration and purpose of the trip. The contact address of the employer should also be stated. Minors should submit the original copy of a birth certificate showing the names of both parents. A letter of consent signed by the parents is also required. A document which shows that the applicant has the incentive of returning to the country at the expiry of the visa should be submitted. Applicants with business purposes in Armenia can negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners. For applicants travelling for business, a letter of invitation from your partner company in Armenia is required. The letter should state the duration and purpose of the applicant’s visit to the country. A receipt of the visa application fee is to be provided by the applicants. Kenyans who are in Armenia on this visa are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment. Applicants are expected to abide by all the rules of this visa. Kenyans cannot seek public funds in Armenia.

The Student Visa is issued to Kenyans who have the intention of travelling to Armenia for study purposes. Kenyans should confirm that they have been accepted into one of the institutions of learning in the country before initiating the visa application process. Applicant's letter of acceptance from the Armenian school is to be sent to the embassy. The letter should be written on the institution's letterhead and signed by the head of the institution.                                                                                                                             The acceptance letter should also state the applicant's course and the duration of study. Applicants are to provide proof of financial sufficiency that covers  their study and stay. Applicants are to provide proof of payment of part or full tuition fee. Kenyan students studying in Armenia are permitted to work for a period of time, as long as it doesn’t interfere with their study. Kenyans applying for this visa are required to present their certificate and transcripts gotten from previously attended schools. If the applicant of this visa is a minor, the original copy of the birth certificate is required. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should also be submitted. Applicants are to submit proof of medical insurance that will cover the duration of stay. Applicants are to provide proof of payment for visa application.

This visa is issued to holders of diplomatic passports or persons with diplomatic status. Holders of Official or Service passports are also eligible for this visa. A multiple-entry visa is issued to employees of foreign diplomatic representations or international organizations and their families and has a validity of 3 years. If the purpose of your visit to Armenia is non-official, a single-entry visa for 120 days will be issued. Applicants of the diplomatic visa are exempted from paying the visa application fee. If you will be traveling with a minor, the unabridged original copy of the minor’s birth certificate should be submitted. Holders of this visa are not permitted to receive payment for the services they render while  in the country. The single entry visa or multiple entries visa with validity of 1 year is issued to members of official delegations, their families as well as other officials. A single entry visa for 120 days is issued if you are travelling  to Armenia for non-official purposes. Proof of the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of your visa is required.

This visa is issued to Kenyans who intend to make stopovers in Armenia. Applicants of this visa may also have the intention of transiting through Armenia to their destination country. Applicants are required to submit proof of visa and other entry permits to the destination country. The flight ticket of the destination country should also be provided by the applicant.  Transit visas are usually single-entry visa or multiple-entry visa and are issued with a validity of 1 year with stays for no more than 3 days. Kenyans transiting through Armenia by land can obtain transit visas without tickets or visas of a third country. The maximum extension time for this visa is 4 days. Applicants are to submit proof of payment for visa application fee. Applicants who are under 18 years should  submit the original copy of their birth certificate. This should be accompanied by a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor.
