The student visa is for foreigners who intend to travel to Romania either for pre-graduate, graduate, or postgraduate studies or in view of obtaining academic degrees within the state or accredited private institutions. Foreigners who are trainees or who want to partake in the pupil exchange scheme or in an individual project may also apply for this visa. Kenyans who want to carry out activities of scientific research on the grounds of the endorsement of the Ministry of Research and Innovation and the General Inspectorate for Immigration. The visa allows Kenyans to enter the territory of Romania to apply at the Ministry of Internal Affairs – General Inspectorate for Immigration, for the extension of the right of temporary stay and for a residence permit. Proof of acceptance for studies from the Romanian Ministry of Education, attesting that the visa applicant will attend a full-time course of study at a state or private higher education institution. Applicant should present proof of tuition fee for at least one academic year. Students should have at least  €500 per month Students who have been previously convicted will not be issued this visa. Proof of knowledge of the language of the study programme to be followed, with the exception of the preparatory year of Romanian language for foreign citizens. If you are under the age of 18, a notarized letter of consent signed by both parents should be provided.

Kenyans who are applying for this visa are students who intend to visit China to study in one of the schools in the country. This visa is of two types; The X1 and X2 visa. X1 Visa is given to Kenyans going to study in China for more than 6 months while the X2 visa is issued to Kenyans to study for exactly 6 months. Students who apply for this visa are authorized to work part-time and apply for internships. Kenyans who have been issued the X1 visa must apply for a Temporary Residence Permit from the local Public Security Bureau within 30 days upon entry into China while the X2 visa holders do not need to apply for one. Applicants are to provide the JW201 (or JW202) form issued by the Chinese Ministry of Education (only necessary for the X1 Visa) and the notice of admission from your school.  The JW201 / JW202 form is to be submitted at consulate or embassy during your application for the Chinese student visa (X visa). The Chinese Ministry of Education decides which one to issue. The JW201 form is for those studying in China on a full scholarship while JW202 is for those studying in China by self support or partial scholarship. A letter of admission from the institution you have been accepted into should be provided. The letter should clearly state the course you have been admitted to study and the duration of the program. A copy of a medical examination report is required. Any person suffering from a medical disorder, leprosy, AIDS, venereal disease, tuberculosis or other forms of infectious diseases will be refused entry into China. Only the single-entry visa will be issued to students. If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided. A notarized letter of consent signed by both your parents should be provided if you are traveling alone. Non-Kenyans are required to provide a copy of their stay permit in Kenya. Receipt of paid visa of China application fee should be provided.

Eligible applicants of this visa are students who intend to study either part-time or full-time in one of the schools in Ireland. Before initiating the visa application process, applicants should ensure they have been admitted into the school of their choice to study. You are granted this visa on the basis that you will attend school to partake in a course which involves at least 15 hours of organized daytime tuition every week. If you have been refused a visa for any country, you must submit the original letter of refusal that was issued to you by the authorities of that country. An official letter of acceptance from the school you have been accepted to should be provided. Information on the letter should include the course you are to study and the duration of your stay in the country. All applicants regardless of nationality or educational background must undertake the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test and provide the original certificate during the visa application. Other acceptable certificates will be those from an internationally recognized test such as TOEFL or Cambridge. You are required to pay at least €6,000 of your tuition where the course fee is above this amount. Where the course fee is below €6,000, you are required to pay this fee in full. Evidence of the amount paid should be included in your Letter of Acceptance from the college.  The initial visa issued to you will be valid for a single entry to the country. If you have a valid reason for leaving Ireland for a short period of time you must apply in advance of making any arrangements for a re-entry visa. Before a re-entry visa can be issued, you must be registered with the Garda National Immigration Bureau. Applicants who are under the age of 18 years are required to have the original copy of their birth certificates. A notarized letter of consent signed by both their parents should be provided. Only students attending a full-time course of education of at least one year’s duration leading to qualifications recognized by the Minister for Education and Science will be permitted to take up casual employment.

The Russian student visa enables a Kenya citizen to take up a program of study in one of the institutions of learning in Russia. The Russian student visa is initially  valid for 90 days but can be extended to up to one year to cover the duration of the study. To extend your visa, you have to apply to the local division of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation (FMS of Russia). The following documents are required during the visa application process: An official letter from the Russian university, institute or college confirming applicant has been admitted and is allowed to attend lectures. Previous educational certificates from past institutions attended. Proof that tuition fees has been paid. A copy of HIV test result which must be certified at the local office of the secretary of your state and translated into Russian. Student visa Applicants should have at least 325,425 RUB (USD 5,000) per year to cover all stay expenses in Russia. If you intend to work part-time as a student, you will require a work permit from the Federal Migration Service (FMS). The cost of a work permit for those on a Russian study visa is RUB 3,500 (USD 60). Applicants are expected to be of perfect health before coming into Russia. A certified document that shows this must be presented.
