  • Kenyans who intend to study in Denmark are eligible to apply for this visa.
  • The study visa permits its holder to remain in Denmark for a duration of 3 months.
  • Before you apply for the student visa, you must have received an admission offer to study in Denmark from a Danish educational institution.
  • If an applicant's study would exceed 3 months, the applicant should apply for a long-stay study visa.
  • Applicants are to submit a valid passport with a validity of not less than 6 months from the proposed date of travel.
  • A copy of passport's biometric data should be submitted.
  • Applicants are to submit their previous passports if any together with the current one.
  • You must have been accepted to study in one of the institutions in the country before this visa is issued to you.
  • A letter of acceptance written with the official letterhead of the school you have been accepted into is required.
  • Certificates and transcripts from previously attended schools should be provided.
  • A copy of your stay permit in Kenya should be provided for non-citizens of Kenya.
  • Foreign students may work in Denmark part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
  • Proof of academic qualification for the intended course of study should be submitted by the applicant.
  • Proof of financial sufficiency that covers applicants duration of stay must be provided in order to travel to Denmark to study.
  • Proof of part or full payment of tuition fee should be submitted.
  • This visa may be extended to cover the period of your study.
  • Proof of accommodation in the form of dormitory contract or rental agreement should be submitted.
  • If you are minor travelling without your parent, a letter of consent signed both your parents should be provided. Also, an unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required.
  • If you are travelling for tourism in France, you are not allowed to seek public funds while you are in the country.
  • Receipt of paid visa application form is required.
  • To study in Denmark you must provide proof of some proficiency of the Danish language.

  • A Kenyan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.

  • Duly completed and signed visa application form.

  • The parents/legal guardians have to sign the form if the applicant is a minor.

  • Three passport-size photographs (4.5 x 3.5 cm) taken on a white background.

  • Travel document must be completely provided.

  • Proof of financial capability.

  • Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations.

  • Copy of return flight ticket.

  • Documentation showing applicants' ties to home country.

  • A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.

  • Medical insurance that covers the duration of stay.

  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.

  • Copy of travel itinerary.

  • Applicants are to provide a proof of the paid visa application fee.
