The medical visa allows foreigners to visit Iceland to seek medical attention.
A medical report from your local doctor should be provided. It should be accompanied by a document that states why the treatment is best gotten in Iceland.
A medical attestation from the hospital or doctor in Iceland, confirming the date of appointment as well as your medical situation is required.
If you are employed, a letter from your employer stating that he/she is aware of your leave. The employer should state continuing employment after your treatment.
Retirees should have a pension statement from the last 6 months.
Proof of payment of medical fees should be provided.
Minors must ensure they possess the original copy of their birth certificate. If they are traveling alone or with one of their parents, a document of consent which is signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
You are not allowed to work while you are in the country.
At the end of your treatment, you are expected to leave the country.
Holders are not allowed to take up permanent residence in the country.
Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.
Medical Visa from Kenya to Iceland Requirements
Fully completed and signed visa application form
Two recently taken passport-size photographs (4.5x 3.5cm), both taken within the last three months.
A valid Kenyan passport not older than 7 years, with at least six months validity beyond the date you plan to leave Sweden.
A travel insurance policy with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros, for the whole Schengen territory, in case of any medical emergency such as illnesses, accidents and even repatriation in case of death.
Proof of accommodation.
Copy of return flight ticket.
Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country, e.g. verification from applicant’s employer.
A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.
