Medical Visa from Kenya to Denmark Description

  • Kenyans who wants to travel to Denmark for medical treatment are eligible to apply for this visa.
  • Kenyans whose medical treatment is foreseen to last more than 90 days are advised to apply for a National visa. 
  • applicants are to possess a passport that was issued within the last ten years and should have a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of travel.
  • Two recent passport photographs not older than 3 months should be submitted.
  • A medical report from your doctor in Kenya should be provided. The reason the treatment cannot be gotten in your home country should also be stated in the letter.
  • An attestation from the hospital or doctor you are meeting with should be provided. The date of your appointment and your medical situation should be stated.
  • If you are employed, a letter from your employer is required. Your employer should state in the letter that he is aware of your leave. Your position and how long you have been employed in the company should be clearly stated.
  • Proof of health insurance that has a minimum value of 30,000 euros should be submitted.
  • Proof of financial sufficiency that covers applicants duration of stay should be submitted.
  • applicants round trip reservation that shows entry and exit from Denmark should be submitted.
  • Payment receipt of medical fees should be tendered during the visa application process.
  • Minors must ensure they possess the original copy of their birth certificate. If they are traveling alone or with one of their parents, a document of consent which is signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
  • You are not allowed to work while you are in the country.
  • At the end of your treatment, you are expected to leave the country.
  • Holders are not allowed to take up permanent residence in the country.
  • Proof of paid visa application fee is required.
  • The documents provided during the visa application process should be in English or Danish.

Medical Visa from Kenya to Denmark Requirements

  • A Kenyan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.

  • Duly completed and signed visa application form.

  • The parents/legal guardians have to sign the form if the applicant is a minor.

  • Three passport-size photographs (4.5 x 3.5 cm) taken on a white background.

  • Travel document must be completely provided.

  • Proof of financial capability.

  • Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations.

  • Copy of return flight ticket.

  • Documentation showing applicants' ties to home country.

  • A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.

  • Medical insurance that covers the duration of stay.

  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.

  • Copy of travel itinerary.

  • Applicants are to provide a proof of the paid visa application fee.
