The Mongolian student visa is also called a type "S" visa.
A letter from the institution the applicant has been accepted to is required. The letter should be written on the institution's letterhead and signed by the head of the institution.
The Type "S" visa is issued to foreigners visiting Mongolia for the purposes of studying, training, internship and research.
The applicant should get prior approval from the Office of Immigration, Naturalisation and Foreign Citizens (OINFC) in Ulaanbaatar.
The cost of studying in Mongolia depends on the particular program you are enrolled into. A ballpark figure for a year’s university tuition is US$2,000.
The cost of living in Mongolia is not expensive, so accommodation, food and entertainment average out at around US$400 per month.
Certificates and transcripts of schools previously attended by the applicant should be provided.
Foreign students are allowed to work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.

If you are a minor, a copy of your birth certificate is required. A letter of consent signed by both parents of the applicant is also required.

A Kenyan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
