  • The tourist visa is issued to Kenyans who are visiting San Marino for vacations, sight-seeing, adventures or leisure purposes.
  • The tourist visa is valid for 90 days, and the visa is not extendable.
  • Two recent 30 mm x 40mm passport-sized photographs with a white background are required.
  • San Marino is a beautiful country that is landlocked by Italy.
  • There are no airports in San Marino, so the only way to get into the country is by getting into Rimini on the east coast of Italy, then taking a public transport (car) to San Marino.
  • The tourist visa can also be used as a visitor visa. Kenyans who have been invited by a friend or relative in the country can do so using this visa.
  • Even though San Marino is landlocked by Italy, the locals are not called Italians. They are referred to as Sammarinese.
  • San Marino uses the euro currency, although they are not part of the European Union.
  • You can visit the following tourist sites in San Marino: Rocca Guaita (Guaita Fortress), Monte Titano,  Basilica di San Marino,  Museo di Stato (National Museum), etc.
  • Applicants should obey all rules guiding this visa.
  • San Marino has strict rules on public drunkenness and applies a zero-tolerance policy towards the possession and use of illegal drugs.
  • Make sure you have adequate travel health insurance and accessible funds to cover the cost of any medical treatment abroad and repatriation.
  • If you need emergency medical assistance during your trip, dial 118 and ask for an ambulance.
  • You should contact your insurance/medical assistance company promptly if you are referred to a medical facility for treatment.

Tourist Visa from Kenya to San Marino Requirements

  • Passport with a validity of more than 6 months beyond the period of exiting the country. The passport should have one blank page for entry and exit stamp.
  • Correctly completed visa application form. The form should be signed where necessary by the applicant.
  • Two passport-sized photographs taken with a white background. The photographs must follow the photo specification of a visa application.
  • Evidence that you have the necessary means to cater for yourself in the country. This may be in the form of a bank statement from the previous three months of salary payslips.
  • Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
  • Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
  • Copy of return flight ticket.
  • Travel itinerary.
