Tourist Visa from Kenya to Cyprus Description

  • Applicants of this visa intend to visit Cyprus for tourism purposes.
  • Kenyans with the intention of visiting friends and relatives in Cyprus can do so using this visa.
  • An invitation letter from your host in Cyprus is required. The home address and telephone number of the host should be included in the letter, as well as a valid means of identification.
  • You cannot study in one of the schools in the country with this visa.
  • If there are festivals and events that interest you in the country, you are free to attend.
  • The Cyprus tourist visa application can be submitted  at the Cyprus embassy/consulate in Nairobi or  by recorded delivery enclosing a registered self-addressed special delivery envelope for the safe return of the passport and the documents.
  • Provisional Books or Itinerary of travel arrangements (Round trip ticket with fixed dates) is a must. Ticket should not be purchased before the visa is issued.
  • The Consulate may also ask for a copy of a Bank Guarantee Letter from the host, throughout a visitor's stay in Cyprus, so as to cover the possible cost of repatriation.
  • A letter from your current employer in Kenya is required. Your employer should confirm awareness of your leave of absence. The period of absence from work should be included in the letter.
  • A copy of Kenyan stay permit of non-Kenyans is required during the application process.
  • Original copy of minors’ birth certificate is required. If they are not traveling with their parents, a notarized parental authorization signed by both parents should be provided.
  • A document that shows that you have the incentive of returning to Kenya is required.
  • Receipt of payment of visa application fee is required.
  • A solid proof of financial sufficiency in form of bank statement or travel cheque should be submitted. 
  • Applicants are to submit proof of hotel reservation or accommodation that covers duration of stay.
  • Foreigners with this visa are prohibited from taking up paid or unpaid employment.
  • Kenyans cannot seek public funds in the country.
  • Pension statement from the last 6 months should be presented for retirees.
  • Proof of clean criminal record is required.

Tourist Visa from Kenya to Cyprus Requirements

  • Kenyan passport which will be valid 6 months after exiting from the country. It is necessary for the passport to have two blank pages and must not be older than 10 years.
  • Visa application form correctly completed and signed by the applicant.
  • Two passport-sized photographs taken with a white background. The photograph must be at least 3 months old from the time of application.
  • Original bank statement for the last three months prior to the date of application for the visa.
  • Valid travel insurance which has a coverage of €30,000 for medical insurance.
  • Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay in the country.
  • Return flight ticket.
  • Copy of travel itinerary.
  • A cover letter which explains the purpose of your visit to Cyprus.
  • Proof of civil status.
