Tourist Visa from Kenya to Bulgaria Description

  • The tourist visa allows Kenyans to visit the country for sightseeing, recreation and relaxation purposes.
  • This visa allows foreigners to visit their friends and relatives in the country.
  • A letter of invitation containing contact details from your host in Bulgaria should be provided. 
  • Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up a course to study in any of the institutions in the country.
  • The tourist visa can either be a Type A (short stay) or type B) visa.
  • Applicants are to provide a valid international passport with a  6 months  validity period from the date of departure.
  • The processing time for the Bulgarian tourist visa is 90 days.
  • All visa application forms are to be submitted not earlier than 3 months before the  intended date of travel.
  • Applicants are to provide a copy of a recent bank statement showing proof of sufficient funds (at least $60 per day).
  • Visa applications for minors or judicially disabled persons shall be submitted by their legal representatives or by persons expressly authorized to do so.
  • Applicants should provide a copy of medical insurance that is valid in EU and covers duration of stay.
  • This visa is valid for 90 days and processing requires 10 working days.
  • proof of accommodation or hotel reservation should be provided.
  • You can attend events and festivals while you are in Bulgaria.
  • A letter from your employer in Kenya should be provided. Your employer should state that he/she has granted permission for your leave. Your status in the company and the length of your employment should be clearly stated in the letter.
  • The applicant must provide photocopies of the original passport and ID card, including copy of all visas(valid and expired).
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate should be submitted. You are also required to have a letter of consent signed by both your parents if you are traveling alone.
  • Proof of the incentive of returning to Kenya. This could be your child’s birth certificate or your original marriage certificate.
  • Receipt of paid visa application form should be provided. 
  • Kenyans are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment during their time in Bulgaria.
  • Applicants are expected to abide by all the rules guiding this visa.

Tourist Visa from Kenya to Bulgaria Requirements

  • A Kenyan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.

  • Duly completed and signed visa application form.

  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.

  • Three passport-size photographs (4.5 x 3.5 cm) taken in white background.

  • Travel document must be complete.

  • Proof of financial capability.

  • Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations.

  • Copy of return flight ticket.

  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country.

  • A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.

  • Medical insurance that covers the entire duration of stay.

  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.

  • Copy of travel itinerary.
