Work Visa from Kenya to Norway
- The work visa is eligible for Kenyans intending to work in Norway.
- If you apply for the work visa, you are eligible to a residence permit.
- However, there are two types of work permit, 12-month and season work permit. A seasonal worker works for three months.
- To obtain a work permit, you should be between the age range of 18- 30 years old.
- A valid passport is required.
- Employer’s information on the foreigner’s qualification and at least one year of working experience according to their qualification within the last two years.
- A letter must be provided from the former employer, stating job position , experiences and even past companies the applicant has worked in.
- Before a Kenyan is offered this visa, your employer should ensure that there is no Norwegian willing and available to take up this job.
- If, during this period, the employer – Norway company cannot find a suitable candidate for the vacancy, the foreigner may then submit documents for the issue of a work permit in Norway.
- Here are some requirements needed to work in a Norwegian company;
- You must have all the right qualifications for the job.
- You must be ready to show documents proving your country status and competency, e.g., educational certificates, practical training, diplomas, birth certificates, marriage certificate etc.
- You must have proof of work experience.
- A medical record showing your physical and mental health must be provided.
- Details of work duration, titles and roles are also important.
- The employer must make sure the foreigner has documents proving their qualifications (diplomas, certificates, etc.).
Requirements:
- National passport which is valid for at least three months after the intended date of exiting the country. The passport should have two blank pages at the time of application.
- Duly completed and signed visa application form.
- One colour passport sized photograph with the full face taken with a white background. The passport must not be older than six months.
- Bank statement from the last three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof of a sufficient and continuous flow of funds during your time in the country.
- Valid travel insurance which has a coverage of €30,000 for medical insurance.
- Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay in Norway.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Proof of civil status.
- Copy of travel itinerary.
