Medical Visa from Kenya to Malta
- Kenyans seeking medical attention from a hospital in Malta are the ones eligible for this visa.
- You are required to have a medical report from your doctor in Kenya. This report should be accompanied by a document which clearly states the reason the treatment is best administered in Malta.
- A medical attestation from the hospital or doctor in Malta, confirming the date of appointment as well as your medical situation is required.
- If you are employed, you should provide proof that your employer is aware of your leave. This may be stated in a letter written with the company’s letterhead and signed by your employer.
- Retirees should have a pension statement from the last 6 months.
- Applicants of this visa must provide proof that they have the means to pay for all cost incurred during the medical treatment.
- If you are covered by an insurance, you should provide proof of this.
- Minors must ensure they possess the original copy of their birth certificate. If they are traveling alone or with one of their parents, a document of consent which is signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
- You are not allowed to work while you are in the country on this visa.
- At the end of your treatment, you are expected to leave the country immediately.
- Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up permanent residence in the country.
- Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.
