Student Visa from Kenya to Belgium
- The student visa is for applicants who aim to study in one of the schools in Belgium.
- Applicants should ensure notification of admission before applying for this visa.
- As an international student, you’ll need to apply for a national long-stay visa (D visa), which allows you to stay longer than 90 days in Belgium.
- Applicants are to provide proof of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros for their stay.
- A medical certificate stating you don’t carry any diseases that may endanger public health (such as TB, diseases that require quarantine and other infectious diseases) is also required.
- An enrollment certificate allowing attendance of courses in Belgium is required.
- Certificates and transcripts from previously attended schools should be provided.
- Foreign students in Belgium can work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
- This visa can be extended to cover the duration of your study in the country.
- If you are under 18 years, a letter of authorization signed by both parents is required. Also, the original copy of your birth certificate should be presented.
- Applicants of this visa are expected to present a proof of clean criminal record.
- Receipt of paid visa application form is required.
- The visa costs €75.
