Student Visa from Kenya to Netherlands
- The Netherlands student visa is for Kenyan students who have the intention of studying in a school in the Netherlands.
- Applicants of this visa should apply for a provisional residence visa also known as the MVV visa. Afterwards, the host institution will then apply for a full residence permit on the traveler's behalf.
- To apply for an MVV visa you will need a valid passport and at least one passport page photocopy.
- Proof that you are able to support yourself financially is required. It is expected that you have enough money to spend at least 850 euros per month.
- Before applicants can initiate the visa application process, they must have been accepted into one of the recognized institutions of learning in the Netherlands.
- This institution will need to provide you with a letter of admission. This is proof that you can attend lectures and write exams at the school.
- Certificates and transcripts of the schools you previously attended is required.
- Foreign students are allowed to work part-time as long as it does not interfere with their studies.
- An extension to this visa can be granted to cover the full duration of your program.
- Student visa applicants are required to undergo a medical test for tuberculosis.
- If you are a minor traveling without your parent, a letter of consent signed by both parents should be provided. Also, an unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required.
- It costs around €60 to process this visa.
- In some cases, you might need to take a civic integration exam at the consulate. This exam costs 150 euros.
