Medical Visa from Kenya to Netherlands
- This visa allows Kenyans to visit the Netherlands for medical treatment.
- Applicants coming to Netherlands for medical treatment must apply for a residence permit. The application costs € 1033.
- A full medical diagnosis from your local doctor is required. It should be accompanied by a document stating why the ailment is best treated in the Netherlands.
- The hospital or doctor in the Netherlands will also need to send a medical attestation confirming the date of appointment as well as their knowledge of your medical situation.
- If you are employed, a letter from your employer is required. Your employer should state in the letter that he is aware of your leave. Your position and how long you have been employed in the company should be clearly stated.
- The applicant must be able to demonstrate they have sufficient funds cover their entire medical expenses while in the Netherlands.
- Minors must ensure they possess the original copy of their birth certificate. If they are traveling alone or with one of their parents, a document of consent which is signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
- Travelers on a medical visa are not allowed to work while they are in the country.
- You are expected to leave the country at the end of your treatment.
- Visa holders are not allowed to take up permanent residence in the country, but temporary residence is allowed.
- The applicant has to sign a medical declaration. By signing this declaration, the applicant consents to being involved in any medical research, if necessary.
- A letter to the Medical Advice Bureau in the Netherlands is needed. This letter must include the following:
- The nature of the illness.
- Why treatment elsewhere will be inappropriate.
- If you are capable of financing the treatment.
