  • For a period of 7 days, Kenyans who want to visit DR Congo can do so without a visa.
  • Prospective visitors can get a visa upon their arrival at the airport in DR Congo.
  • Intending visitors are required to have a passport valid for 6 months beyond the intended date of departure from DR Congo. The passport should have at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
  • Visitors will be required to show proof of yellow fever vaccination. Visitors are advised to be vaccinated 10 days before entering DR Congo.

  • French is the official language of DR Congo. Kikongo, Lingala, Swahili and Tshiluba are the four main indigenous languages spoken by the locals in DR Congo.
  • Congolese franc is the official currency used in DR Congo. Visitors can exchange their foreign currency at various bank and exchange outlets in the country.
  • More than 90% of the population of DR Congo are Christians, consisting of Roman Catholics, Protestants, and other denomination of Christians. The Sunni Muslims and other indigenous religions make up the minority.
  • In DR Congo, the climate is hot and humid in the river basin and cool and dry in the southern highlands, with a cold, alpine climate in the Rwenzori Mountains.
