  • The Eritrean business visa has a validity of 90 days.
  • The visa takes about 15 working days for processing. applicants are advised to make their application at least 1 month before the proposed date of travel.
  • An official letter of invitation from your partner company in Eritrea is required. The letter must indicate your job position, the address of the company, duration, and purpose of the business trip.

  • A letter from your employer in Kenya stating awareness and allowance of your business leave. The letter should also state the position you are holding in the company, the duration of your visit and the purpose of your visit.
  • If your employer or the company you are meeting within the country is responsible for your finances, it should be stated in the business letter.
  • If you are self-employed, a copy of your certificate of business registration and the income tax return is required.
  • If there have been previous business dealings between you and the company you are meeting up with, proof of this is necessary.
  • Applicants should provide computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Eritrea.
  • Receipt of paid visa application fee should be provided.
  • A document which shows that you have the incentive of returning to your country should be provided.
  • Kenyans cannot take up paid or unpaid employment whilst they are in the country.
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate is compulsory.
  • Applicants are advised not to make irreversible payments prior to the outcome of their visa application.

  • A Kenyan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.

  • Duly completed and signed visa application form.
